A new chapter for Helmut!

Our colleague Helmut Kessmann has decided his time has come to retire and embark on new life projects. While the whole team is happy for him and his next chapter, goodbyes are always a little hard.
Helmut saw the growing crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) with clarity and urgency: the lack of solutions in the pipeline, the lack of investment in the field, and the critical future implications. While many only saw obstacles, Helmut saw an opportunity: he knew innovators and innovations were out there, they just needed a platform to be seen and supported.
From joining the need to the AMR innovation reality, he came down with a bold idea: an incubator to support early-stage AMR-solving innovators. It sounds simple when said this way, doesn’t it? As the saying goes, “All things are difficult before they are easy.”
And almost 4 years later, INCATE continues its journey of innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth.
To Helmut: Thank you for dreaming big and turning that vision into reality. We wish you all the best in this next chapter!
