BamA Inhibitor Project Secures €180k DATIpilot Grant

The BamA Inhibitor project (Justus-Liebig-University Giessen) has been awarded a prestigious €180k grant through the DATIpilot initiative by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In the newly created funding scheme of the BMBF the goal is to make better use of Germany’s innovative strength and to accelerate the development of technological and social innovations. Projects selected for the innovation sprint were invited to the DATIpilot Roadshow “Innovation on Stage” to pitch in front of the other teams.

Till Schäberle, PI and head of the BamA Inhibitor project, said “We are very happy that our project convinced the diverse teams from different fields who presented their innovation and voted for the pitch winners.”

The funding will be used to optimize the bioprocess for our molecules. USP and DSP will be optimized; thereby, keeping future transfer to GMP conditions in mind.
