INCATE is pleased to invite researchers, clinicians, and industry experts to submit articles for an upcoming collection focused on Advances in Bacteriophage Research and Development with Therapeutic Applications.

This research topic aims to create a comprehensive compilation of manuscripts highlighting the promise of phage therapy. We seek contributions from scientists and clinicians actively involved in developing and applying bacteriophage-based solutions, including phage enzymes, to treat patients.

Scope and Objectives

The collection will feature manuscripts showcasing the potential of phage therapy as a viable therapeutic option, with insights from:

• Industry researchers working on preclinical and clinical programs aimed at bringing phage therapy to the clinic
• Clinicians utilizing phage therapy in compassionate use cases or planning to integrate it into patient care
• Academic researchers working on bacteriophage and aiming to bring phage therapy to commercial application

We encourage a balanced perspective and welcome manuscripts including:

• Opportunities: innovations in phage research, successful case studies, and advancements toward clinical application
• Challenges: Potential limitations of phage therapy, including regulatory, manufacturing, or clinical hurdles, alongside proposed solutions to address these barriers

Manuscripts may be original research, reviews, case reports (brief or case), perspectives, etc.
